SM vs. Necron Matchup Discussionthread

As Necrons srart also with Heavy infantry what about mass marines at first and then try to survive until you go t2 with plasma?

Hm, on little maps where the points are near the base its very difficult against Necron. On big maps where the points are not so near its possible.

The best vs Necrons is imo you make a fast build on ASM, but you build only one squad and jump with them in the necrons base and you try to kick the worker.
So his Gen Bo slows and then you tech on T2 and plays Tac Squads with Plasma and Plasmapistols + Bionics Lv1 in the armory. The plasma makes a really good damage against Necrons.

kill worker -> slower gen build up -> slower tech
but still same ammount of necron warriors ( 0 energy = for freaking free )
ok ... so the real ugly thing are the two upgrades for the necron warriors not them alone...
did i get it correct?

But a well placed Tower of the necron can easyly strikes your ASMs back. You can try to kill a worker but if he dance around the tower the ASMs will fall in no Time. a few shots kill a ASM and they can't kick the tower that easyly cause the necron Lord or Necron Warrior will apear on the field and crush them

A ASM Harrase against a Necron is nearly unpromising. ASM only rocks if they are T2 and got Melter Grens against the structures of the Necrons ;).

Right now, I think that they are somewhat overpowered.. But that's because of the basic elements of Necron, their whole concept is superior to the other races building management IMO. However it is damn boring to play Necrons.
