Perhaps it's smart business wise, but not smart PR wise.

You are completely wrong here. It pains me every time we have to hold the patch back. We wanted it out long ago, but we are not willing to release a patch with nasty bugs that we know exist. The bug that stopped this last version of the patch was very nasty. It froze squads in place at certain times during combat. Releasing this would have broken the game horribly, and despite what some people think, patches take a LONG time to produce. We have 11 languages and multiple versions and patches for each of those languages. We have to test the patching system for each patch against every language and every version, as well as for players that have DoW or WA and DoW. We also have to make sure the patches don't break future releases of the game. It's an expensive and time consuming process, but one we are commited to doing. We really want this patch out now, and if not for this one bug, it would have been out. We believe we have the bug fixed now in code and are prepping a new patch for QA to test. This takes several days to complete the full test matrix accross all languages and versions, but once it's done, the patch will be released (assuming nothing new and horrible pops up...since I would then probably take an awl to my temple.) I understand the frustration with the delays...I really and truly understand, but it's not a process we can rush.
