Voices in German

    Hi everyone.

    I initially posted this message on DowSanctuary, but then I recall that DawnofWar.de is the backbone of german community, and since my question is aimed at german players I'm posting it here. I'm sorry for writing in english, but my german is so bad that I would hardly be understood by anyone here :D

    It's been a long time since I shut off the unit response, being bored by french silly voices that makes Chaos sounds as pathetic clowns. Recently I've changed the voices into original English ones, but I'm not satisfied either... I was loosing all hope having decent bad guy voices, until I heard German ones in a VOD. And I must say they are pretty cool, Raptor voices sounds like the Rammstein singer, and overall you have the feeling of a brutal and sick bunch of psychos, which is actualy what they are. And since I don't understand poopie to what they say, that will not disturb me during the games.

    So here I come with my question, does anyone know where I can find the german Sound-Speech.sga for WA? Thanks in advance german dudes :D

    Sorry, if I can't directly serve you with the answer you're looking for but I'm a German DoW player playing with English sounds and I've to say these really kick a**!! :D

    I can't figure out how you are desperately searching German DoW voices since the English ones are just perfect for me. Of course, here are people who can help you with your search ... they might upload them for you somewhere.

    Additionally, here are some threads dealing with the conversion of the English version into the German one.
    Also check out the German THQ forum: There are instructions how to turn an English version into a German one (Unfortunately, this page is currently not avaiable ... you gonna have to wait some time :O).

    Thanks dude I'll lurk around on this forum to find out a link, but I have the handicap of not understanding 90% of what's being said here. I knew I should have been more concentrated in German lessons :). For the THQ forum, maybe the post was removed, because the only solution that is given and that I undestood, is the THQ guy advising to buy the game of the german year edition of the game... Rofl these guys really know their job ^^

    These are just samples, not the actual file I need to replace to have the voices ingame. Or maybe I'm getting blind and I missed the link, which is far from being impossible ^^

    I really would try to upload them somewhere for you but like I've said before: I own the English version. =)


    Maybe you can check out P2P programs such as BearShare and find the German voice files there. Could be a possibility though ... ;)

    Can anyone of you guys upload the german speech files on the net, so we can replace the englisch voices for the german voices?

    Share the german speech files or a other componet from the game maybe illegal, but, pm´me. I shoud see what can i doo.
