Tau vs Eldar Discussion Thread

This matchup seems in favor for Eldar? Fire Warriors get owned by FoF, and Farseer is a goody-two-shoes vs Tau, because Mind War is very effective and she disrupts infantry..
However I'm not sure how dangerous an early kroot unit would be, maybe they would cause problems.

Kroot might be a bad idea. If the warlocks can cast entanglement your Kroot will die.

The best way to bash Eldar is to harass with your Vespids and to mass Firewarriors. On t2 the Firewarriors will be to strong for your Guards and if the Vespid-Harass was nice the Eldareco will be small.

All in all i don´t think that Eldar has a big advantage in this mu. But the Time will bring answers...

Yea, surely Mass Firewarriors with Commander is the way to go with Tau I suppose, and with at least 1 pathfinder squad whenever possible.. insane!
But Reapers also seem strong versus Fire Warriors, and Reapers scale very good now, +40% damage with first optical!

Entanglement is still a bit buggy and short ranged. 5 Seconds of Fire arent too ueber against Kroot if you are in the middle of a fight.
But Guards seem to be slighty stronger than Kroot even without entanglement and Nades.

vespids are the key i think.. then kroots and tech for leap. go for the energy and focus on warlocks.. if he has none, bring the steahltsuits for supportfire and av

After some testing, Kroot builds with somekind of support from Stealth suits is very messy to deal with as Eldar. Key probably lies in correct timing of Farseer and plasma nades..
