Donations for DoW???

In one of the German threads a discussion about the implementation of a Donate-function into DoW.de came up.

What do you think about donating in order to improve DoW.de?

I could imagine things like DoW-Conventions, little prizes for little tournaments in different categories (especially for not-pro-gamers like me. *g*) or just helping with servermaintenance and such.
I am sure there are more ideas in your heads.

Last but not least:
I am not an admin, mod, or anything such. And I am not speaking for them. I am a deadnormal user who tries to get an interesting and helpful discussion going. Hence this is not a request to donate!![/B]
EDIT: It seems that last paragraph did not last long since now -all in a sudden- I am a Mod. But concerning this thread nothing changes, folks. It's still my private interest and still it is nothing official.

EDIT: I am the first to make that mistake, so I noticed it quickly: Please don't vote in both, the German and the English poll. This would ruin the results. And -just in case you have more than one user accounts- of course please dont vote more than once!

Thank you for your kind words and for your willingness to give if you could.

Of course, at this moment, the international section is just coming up and therefore you'd come to a German DoW-Convention. But maybe, someday, you'll be able to visit an European or even truly International Convention, combined with a trip to the european mainland.

It is nice to hear that even people who would not directly take advantage by donating would donate anyways for a "great site's" sake.

And, by the way, thank you for being one of the very first people who indeed make this site an interantional one. Only you and people like you can do so. We can only offer a platform, you guys are the ones who populate that platform and fill it with life.
