Eldar vs Tau on Bloodriver - Please help

Description:

Automatch - My first game with Dark Crusade against a human. I started with 2 Guards, Reaper, FS against his two Stealthteams + Commander.

I had no idea what to do against Tau, as i never played against them, still i managed to attack him very early with my ranger squad, killed a drone and took over the maps. Still i had high casualties against his Firewarrior Squads. I decided to go to Banshees to get rid of the FWs in CC, still without CoW it was a very hard task, and in the end he managed to kill my squads and drive me back into my base, claiming victory on this battlefield.

Long story short, where were my mistakes, or what mistakes of the Tau player should i've used to win this battle?

i would say against tau do 3 guard fc. cap with 2 and rus hthe first with a warlock sicne it can spot the stealth suits. it would own their capping units sicne they only have 250 hp and most don't increase the unit size.

Well, imo against a equally skilled Tau you have BIG problems Tier 1.
Your best bet is to go 3x Guardian + FS, and chase stealth teams, and trying to Focus Fire whatever you can. What I mean is, try to hit his early game/econ HARD.
Kill that first unreinforced FW squad, Focus Fire the Tau Commander when he gets overconfident. It's in no ways a fair matchup.. But it can be beaten I guess.

Oh and on Vespid Harass.. Good Lord.. I don't know. TBH I can't actually bother to come up with something resonable to do versus Tau, we need a patch in like a month I'd say

I'll try using Banshees + CoW + Workerbeam to get rid of the FW teams the next time, i think that might work out very well.

But thx for the advice, i'll definitely try to chase these stupid stealth teams all day long. THe sound of their weapons made me feel very uncomfortabl, even with the low damage.
