there should be no default date
the teams have to play until the dead line
and if not, the team which was most anxious about the schedule should get the win

Are you serious? First of all you all have the chance to decide your date free... the default date comes just into play when you can't agree to a date so our rule is almost like the one suggested.

Judging "what team has been more anxious" is not possible. What kind of rule should that be? How should an admin make such a decision. I don't want to know what protest we would hear every round.

About the saturday/friday thingy. This won't be changed. The complains you have now, would other people have if we play just within the week. That's also nonsense.

You knew the rules before you signed in. We published the timetable. If you don't want to delay your "real life" activities by a few hours for a 3 week tournament with a reward of a total of 5.000 € and Offline Finals, you shouldn't participate.

If there isn't a default date, both teams have to take care to schedule their matches.
But if you stick with the default date thingy, one team can just dodge it out. The team which couldn't play on the default date is just fucked up and couldn't do anything against it if the other team is just bitching around.
And sorry, but a default date at Saturday 20o’clock is bad!
Yes I don’t go to a party or stuff on 20o’clock, but as I am working the whole week I have quite much stuff to do on Saturday. So even if I don’t go out, I still have other things to care about. But as I described above a default date is never good, even if it is on Sunday 20 o’clock. Sure it means a little bit more work for the admin staff but it also worked in the esl cups and if I remember correct also for the wcg qualifier.

A little bit more work for the admins? Erm, just me for example is online from 8:00 to 20:00 (at least) everyday to check all matches, request etc.. I don't expect the same from the players... just showing one time up for the match when they have to.

Anyway, you say you work all week. So is this an argument for playing within the week? No. Other question: If you know you play on saturday evening, can't you take care about this stuff you are talking about earlier? (Within the week or on sunday like you would prefer?)

Anyway, this rule will stay like it is. Changing it the way you are suggesting would make it a lot more difficult.

so one more point:

this is a 5000 € tournament. Don't forget that.
The rule is not only there to make things easier for admins in defwin decisions but also to protect ourselves as admins (and you arkarius should know that o0)

Do you really honestly thing that you would accept a decision like you get defloss because the other team had 5 minutes more time? Because it will come to that. And there are 5000 € at stake. So what would you really do, if you hear a decision like that?
