OMG Songsmith

    Kurze Zusammenfassung: Microsoft entwickelt eine Software die dinge die man in ein Mikrofon singt mit "passender" Musik hinterlegt. (Hier der besonders peinliche Werbespot von Microsoft).

    So weit so unspektakulär, nun haben sich aber einige Leute gedacht "Hey, was passiert eigentlich wenn wir die Tonspur von bekannten Liedern entfernen und Songsmith mit dem Ergebnis füttern?". Das ergebnis kann man zur Zeit bei Youtube sehen. Hier eine Vergewaltigung von We Will Rock You (anklicken auf eigene Gefahr):

    Das ist keineswegs unspektakulär, sondern aus technischer Sicht hochinteressant und -komplex.
    Künstlerisch dürfte es sich zumindest im Moment noch ziemlich murksig ausnehmen aber darum geht es nicht.

    Das ganze ist Grundlagenforschung mit einem gewaltigen Pool an Betatestern, da Wette ich drauf.

    Wenn die Menschheit sich immer erst Gedanken um dem praktischen Nutzwert machen würde, bevor sie Forschung betreibt, hätten wir wohl noch keinen Strom aus Wand.

    Das Niveau?
    Hat sich unter einem flachen, moosbewachsenen Stein in den schottischen Highlands versteckt.
    Wie tief es diesen Stein zuvor vergraben hat ist nicht bekannt.
