Your thoughts on Necrons

So, that's what really interests me: What is your idea of Necrons?

do you like them, what do you hate most about them, are they just fine and all other races are to lazy to find some real solutions? What is going to be changed in the next patch if there should be any changes?

My opinion is stated in a picutre in my signature, to me Necrons are _way_ to simple at the moment. The combination of an easy to handle army, combined with enourmeous firepower for Necronwarriors, a hero with great skills and a "very hard to harass base" is just way over the top. I honestly hope they get changed _alot_,

In termes of different style and backgrounds, warhammer is just awesome. Still the necrons are that different, that they really hurt gameplay at the moment.
Players refuse to play against them, some want them removed, others only hate in every necron topic, it's just a hard task for everyone to be calm and fair to this new race.

I really hope relic does something about their appearance.

First of all, yes, necron warriors are the corearmy and yes they are incredibly slow, still you've got plenty of other units, which should demand the most micro.

Just take a look at the hero, wraiths, workers, maybe vehicles. I guess, if you balance the slow units to a certain degree, that they are still strong but _need_ micro intensive units to actually be effective on a midskilled to highskilled level of play, then everything would be fine.

To me it's like the SM skullprobe, most people have no clue how to micro this unit to keep it alive and most of all effective. But the ones who actually put the right amount of micro into it, get an awesome detector and vehicle stopper.

The combination of units is what is lacking, necrons only have to use their hero and the necronwarriors to win 95% of all battles, that's just bullshit. Especially after any other race has to use at least 4 different kind of units to be virtorious, rushes excluded.

well, the point of balancing is to actually "un-ruin" the race so the race is as playable as every other race. Don't you think so? Or do you think it will differ a lot of what we have now, and many people will be pissed to see their race totally changed?
