Update: Soulstorm Patch

It could be also dow.de's well... we had this topic when we had the livechat with him. Anyway, one week is killing noone anymore imo. The problems they have are not easy to solve so I actually was expecting it. I wouldn't even bet my money on a release next week eventhough I wouldn't mind to be wrong here either.

I knew it, I knew it! Poor Thunder! Would have been great if the patch was released to the start of the new CL, but Reric business as usual. What keeps me a bit puzzled is that Poodleswell said that they worked hard on the patch last month, while the f0cking mustard hotfix was said to be ready AND the "issues" concerning the delivery of the patch where well known (actually it was the first excuse comming up for the hotfix. So I figured out it was like this:

Reric guy: oh we shipped out the SS beta. but hey, they will blame ILE and ILE ceased to exist. lucky us.
Reric guy #2: dont be an ass, let's give them an hotfix, our spam filters are barely holding against all the whine and hatemails!
reric guy: ok, lock stefan haines into a room with an 386 and notepad, so we can pretend we do something but if he finishes something we say we have technical "issues", because I don't want to stop my bangbus downloads for this hotfix for a dead game.
Reric guy #2: they will kill us...
Reric guy: just show them the dow2 intro and they will stop bitching and thell them that we are reeeeeally sorry and everything will be better with dow2! these morons will actually believe it!
...
Now the unbelivable has happend and the indian intern Ranjid has managed to disassemlbe all of the DoW spaghetti code AND write a decent patch. Relic Guy is happy that they didn't have to pay anything for the patch but oh NOES! he has to download the new milfhunter episodes in HD! technical issues ahead...

Update: Soulstorm Patch

Hello from Relic,

Our new community manager (Thunder) is out sick today, but we want to keep everyone posted and up to date on our progress, so I’m posting another update regarding the Soulstorm patch. Please help spread it around to any and all of our communities if you can help.

We continue to run into complicated snags with every turn of this patch; at this point, I do not expect us to release a patch this week. We have confirmed our fixes on almost all of the issues that we included in the pre-release notes, and I’m very happy for that. The people we assembled together have done a great job of working through systems and data that some were looking at for the first time, and I have personally been involved with this for over a month. Unfortunately, we are having a hard time figuring out how to get around all sorts of new issues related to our digital distribution partners. We absolutely want everyone who bought Soulstorm, whether it was in-store or online, to be able to keep playing and enjoy the patch, but the myriad of different security implementations have led to a surprising number of problems.

Thanks again – we’re working hard – I appreciate your patience.

but seriously, who really expected the patch to be released this week? I didn't! and one week/month more or less, who cares? atm I'm kinda more interested in the release of the dow2 beta than in the patch for ss.

The week isnt over guys!

2 days and 4 Hours left for us, nd a bit more in canada

it`s friday, so the week is still over. You don`t really believe that they work on weekends?

Well I'm a patient guy but that is just rude. One week won't kill anyone but some months and one week sure do.

Well they won't gain any money from me anymore. It's now at a point where I can't say whether they provocate us/me or really want to change something.

Jerres is right, there is nothing that would indicate that they work during the week either
