DC Eldar

So what do you guys think of DC Eldar?
I think, judging from Winter Assault, they are 10 times more fun, even though the changes aren't that big! Right now I'm experimenting with BL Plats, they are actually quite deadly vs buildings!
Also, Plasma nades are now Tier1, making Warlock Guardian squads even better
As of now, I think some kind of Guardian tech to Warp Spiders or BL plats is very good!

It´s imo very good that you must build different units and not only spam later of ws and/or fire prisms. You can build only 3 ws and 2 Fire prisms adn thats really good.
Harlequins are really great but only as support, and the "dance of death"(or was it otherwise called?:D) is really strong but alone they re only food for the enemy.
Eldar are making rellay fun cause you must build different units and this is really great.

Hehe, if you can micro them, Harlequins are SO uber. I'm telling you, SeleCT and Left and the other Eldar pros, once they get the hang of those Harlies they will wreck some havoc
Dance of Death is INSANE. They knock everyone down. But they need to be supported the whole time, otherwise they just get FFed and killed too easy, and it's not like they are cheap.. 125/125 is not exactly a bargain for them.

Its a lot of fun seeing guards kicking ass again.

Sometimes iam curius why they didnt put a hardcap on banshees as those are still spamable.
Firewarriors are great for assault attacks on Tau Installations and Firewarriors

Harlequin are not an uber unit but very versatile if your enemy cant focus fire them.
Fast Tech seems a bit hard to counter on Big Gen Maps.

Anyone used brightlances yet?

Yea I'm using BL plats, however I have yet to see how good it will work vs decent competition One thing is certain though, which is sad, and that is that they are NOT good to attach to squads, at least not Guardians squads. They mess up pathing and movement speed so bad its not even funny
Very sad because they could use the protection of Conceal, or bonuses from Dark Reapers etc.. Actually I haven't tried them with Dark Reapers, maybe they dont screw up movement as bad together with guys. Will be reporting on that.

i think 3 guard bo is best for 1on1 on maps like bloodriver.
especially versus necrons and tau. brightlances pritty funny but not really best counter i think

Remember that you can amass Brightlances very effective, given that you have the eco, also it won't lock up the Aspect Portal when you need those Warp Spiders.

3-5 Guardains depending on oppment and BO facing which all can be scouted via 3rd boner porting

Rangers with cloake are typically all eldar really need to be honest again depending on oppment decides units to produced and techs to be used

i can't say much in detail without writing an essay

cron - cowshee's/turret rush
csm/sm - guardains and/or reapers with plats and plasma to ws and few veh's
orks/ig -guardains and/or reapers/shee to ws few vehs
tau - warlock guardain reapers/shee's (good to mix both vs ither kroot/firewarrior) vesps can't kill a aspect in one go before fs get's out and u just del gen when u see vesp and go heavy guardains

you get idea slow units = u go uber cc, medicore good tough units go ranged, vs turtley/techy you go techy and herassy then cap crits

You cant say "this is effective against this race". It depends on the tactic your opponent is going to play.

Beside of this, i dont think that you can win a match with mass reaper easily. Maybe its possible but i find it much easier to tech on WS and to upgrade them all the time. On Tier3 WS are really insane. But when you play like this you have to get time and so on.

After all i think eldar is not as underpowered as it seemed at first matches with them.. If you play the right tactics and build up some LP2 its not so hard anymore to win.

Maybe the next patch should buff reapers and falcons a bit. ...the patch certainly should nerf the costs of the soulshirne, cause most of the races is on Tier2 faster than eldar

Imho. Eldar is as they've always been, and I enjoy them right as much. Not the big changes there
